Haywood Hall and Gardens Wedding – Jim and Virginia are Married!
Well my first time at Haywood Hall and Gardens for a wedding, and it couldn’t have been more difficult. This bride simply would NOT stop smiling, and I couldn’t get these two to have any fun at all on their wedding day 😉
This was my last wedding of 2018 and I can’t think of a better way to have finished out the season. These two were wonderful. They enjoyed a wonderful day among family and friends from all over and I can’t wait to see their marriage grow.

About the Couple
Where did your wedding take place?
Haywood Hall and Gardens
What was your favorite moment on your wedding day?
Oy, it’s so hard to choose just one, but there was a moment where, after the ceremony and pictures, but before the reception, Jim and I went into the house and he helped me bustle my dress. Having that moment alone with him where we got to take a deep breath and appreciate the moment before going out to mingle was really wonderful.
What was the most helpful piece of advice you received when it came to planning your wedding?
At some point, preferably several days before the wedding, you have to let go and trust your family, friends, and wedding planner to implement your vision. It’s hard to do, but you have to let yourself enjoy the moment.
What was the biggest reason you chose Dave Shay Photography on your wedding day?
His artistic way of catching candid moments is extraordinary and we knew that years from now, that’s what we want to look back on- not just a bunch of portraits.
How would you describe your Wedding day? Use as many or as few words as you’d like
A little vintage, a little secret garden, classy but easy going, and most importantly, full of love and laughter.
