Backyard Wedding – Nathan and Katie are Married!

After doing this daring couple’s engagement session in the middle of a flood warning, I knew their backyard wedding was going to be an incredible time rain or shine. Fortunately, the rain held off, and from campfires to karaoke, there was plenty to do to keep warm at their reception. It truly was an incredible day and I always count myself lucky to work with couples that like each other as much as these two do. Congratulations Nathan and Katie!

The spot of our ceremony was the same spot Nates parents were married 36 years ago, that made the day and that spot even more special.

My sister in law told me I probably wouldn’t get to see any of the small details the day of so do get stuck on the small things.

Nate said, “because he’s a light ninja!”

We knew we were having an evening wedding so we looked for someone who took some great low light pictures, and after our flash flood engagement session turned out amazing, we knew we had the right person for the job.

We were shooting for camp romance, and we felt it was a perfect day. The weather was great, the guests were all people we loved, we even had an electrician friend on hand when we blew the power. Perfect day!
