Biltmore Estate Engagement Photos – Brandon and Caroline are Engaged!

I don’t think I’ll ever grow tired of working at The Biltmore Estate. From being able to escape to downtown Asheville for some incredible food, to sitting out on the lawn and just taking in a masterpiece of design, it just always makes for a wonderful time out. This trip however, getting to know Brandon and Caroline a bit was the highlight. These two were fun, interactive, and just genuinely enjoyable to be around. Some fun things about this session? First session I’ve done in a while that was completely lit with natural light. I like using flash, and I LOVE my Magmods, but the light at The Biltmore was engineered to be beautiful and I wanted that to be showcased here. Congratulations you two and I can’t wait to hang out again at the wedding!

About the Couple

Me myself and I

The Biltmore Estate

We recently got annual passes and have spent a few weekends exploring the grounds, we fell in love with the scenery!

Sooo many different options for places to take pictures

Almost 2 years

we’re weird. We can be total opposites about things but we are also the same person. Brandon likes rock n roll I like country, Brandon likes to golf I like to sit and watch reality TV…the list goes on. The universe kept pulling us two weirdos together. We met a few years ago in college at a party for maybe .5 seconds, he standing with a guy a dated in high school’s best friend so I didn’t wanna talk too long (awkward). Coincidentally, my sorority’s rocking chairs when missing shortly after this encounter (I’ll come back to this). Brandon added me on Facebook that night and he kept “liking” my stuff…I even remember telling my best friend Tricia “this guy named Brandon I met for like a second keeps liking my pics”. Well well well in a turn of events I find out my ex, Brandon, and that other guy were the ones who stole our rocking chair. So I’m real heated and I message Brandon something dramatic like “my sorority is going to take criminal action”. We never saw the chairs again. Fast forward again a few years (Brandon has written happy birthday on my wall every year it did not go unnoticed) and I get a message from Brandon “hey! I just moved back to Charlotte what have you been up to” oh plot twist I never knew you left Brandon. I messaged him back a few times. One night had been at a Christmas party so I was out at the bar in a Mickey Mouse sweater….and guess who I saw at that same bar. Yes you guessed right, Brandon!!! And no lie from the moment we saw each other at the Tin Roof in Uptown Charlotte we have been inseparable. Our first real date was to see The Festival of Lights at Tanglewood because Christmas. And I still talk about those rocking chairs. He might tell this story a little differently…

I’m obsessed with Disney (I am in Disney world right now) and I’ve forced Brandon into my lifestyle as well. My favorite park is Animal Kingdom and I found a special tour we could take where we got up close to the animals in a private safari tour with unlimited wine and food. We showed up and it was supposed to be a group of 12 but it was just us (it had rained earlier so I figured everyone cancelled). When we got to the little hut in the middle of the safari area to eat the tour guides distracted me by showing me the lions. Brandon snuck up behind me and proposed a short while after. I got so nervous that I didn’t say yes I said “thank you”. He had even gotten Disney pins to wear that said “just engaged” and when we got back to our resort there were candles and rose petals everywhere!! I’m the ultimate planner I plan all of our adventures down to the minute and I just couldn’t believe he had done this, and managed to surprise me!

it’s our wedding, as much as we want to please everyone we need to make sure it’s what we want! It’s our day!

Brandon seeing me in my dress, he’s going to die. I usually think modest is hottest but my dress isnt as much.

You were easy to work with! We had fun!

it was like hanging out with someone who actually cared about us and wanted to capture pictures specifically for us. It was awesome!! And we loved your kids, soooooooooo cute! And I’m a teacher- I know cute.
