New Bern Engagement Photos – Kayla and Cody: Engaged!

Ever since taking a mini vacation out last year, I’ve been itching to take some New Bern Engagement Photos, and I was thrilled to hear Kayla and Cody were close enough to give it a go. We walked around town for a bit, taking in the history, and finished off the night by grabbing some stellar burgers at Beer Army which I can’t say enough good things about. I love the historic feel of the location, it’s so rich in history & gave us a gorgeous back drop!

How long have you two been together?

5 years

Tell me about the two of you. What makes you two unique, either as a couple or individually? (Quirks, jokes, hobbies, etc)

Something that makes us unique, we have known each other since first grade! Grew up together in elementary, middle, & high school but never started dating until my first year of college!!

Tell me about the proposal. Don’t leave out any details!

Cody surprised me with a mini vacation to Hatteras, NC. In the same spot where we first kissed, and where we fell in love with each other on the beach, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten since being engaged?

To always remember why you first fell in love!

What are you looking forward to most about your wedding day?

Being married to the man of my dreams, and starting a whole new chapter in our relationship!

How would you describe your engagement shoot? Use as many or as few words as you’d like

So much fun!! Dave made us relax and laugh and just genuinely have a great time!
