The Grandview Wedding Photos – Jacki and Brad: Married!
While this is my first time doing Grandview Wedding Photos, Jacki, Brad and I have crossed paths quite a few times. After their engagement session in Hoboken, I’ve definitely been looking forward to the big day and everything went wonderfully, from perfect weather, to a gorgeous view. So excited for you both and congratulations again!

What drew you to this venue? What were your favorite things about this venue?
From the moment we walked in the door of the Grandview we knew it was the perfect spot for us. Â Everything, including the “always ready to help” staff, the gorgeous ballroom, and the beautiful ceremony spot with the beautiful views of the Hudson River, made us excited to get married there!
What was your favorite moment on your wedding day?
The wedding could not have gone smoother, and we loved every moment of it. Â We can’t choose one favorite memory, but seeing how happy everyone was throughout the evening really made the day special. Â We also loved the private tour in the trolley down to the river to take night time photos. Â Not only did it allow us to capture excellent photos of the Mid-Hudson bridge, but it was nice to take a second to enjoy each others company.
What was the most helpful piece of advice you received when it came to planning your wedding?
Try not to please everyone and focus on what will make the day special and memorable for the two of us.
What was the biggest reason you chose Dave Shay Photography on your wedding day?
Why not choose Dave Shay?! We have seen Dave’s work at two other weddings, and it was never a question for us that we would not want him to be the photographer at our own wedding. Â Choosing Dave Shay was actually the easiest decision of the wedding planning process.
How would you describe your Wedding day? Use as many or as few words as you’d like
Legend … wait for it … Dary!The day was better than we every imagined, and we can’t wait to re-live the evening through the photos!
These images were taken with combinations of a Nikon D4s, Nikon D750, Nikkor 85mm 1.4G, Nikkor 45mm Tilt Shift, Nikkor 24mm 1.4G and three off camera SN-910 Speedlights with an assortment of MagMod modifiers. All images color corrected with Adobe Lightroom.
