Yates Mill Engagement Photos | Raleigh | Brooke and Rob are Engaged
I’ve gotten to take engagement photos at Yates Mill a few times now, but the nice thing is that every couple makes it a unique experience. Brooke and Rob were a bit nervous at first, but I got to see them as they truly are almost immediately. It was such a pleasure getting a chance to get to know the two of them!
About the Couple
Who did your makeup and hair for your engagement session?
Ulta!
Where did your engagement session take place?
Yates Mill
What about the location did you like?
It was gorgeous and there were so many background options within a short walking distance.
How long have you two been together?
4 years.
Tell me about the two of you.
We are similar in that we both take care of business. This is what initially drew us together. We love traveling, sports and having a good time. We always felt like best friends from day one.
Tell me about the proposal. Don’t leave out any details!
He tricked me and made me think he had to work. Instead, he drove to Charlotte to pick out a ring with his sister, cleaned the house and made dinner all before I got home. It’s a long story but I will say he was nervous. When he pulled out the box, it was upside down, then backward and sideways. Hahaha! He finally got it right!
What are you looking forward to most about your wedding day?
Hearing his vows and celebrating with our friends and family.
What was your favorite thing about the engagement shoot?
It was comforting and easy.
How would you describe your engagement shoot? Use as many or as few words as you’d like
We were initially extremely nervous. After arriving and talking a little bit we instantly began to feel like ourselves. I didn’t feel like we were behind a camera at all. We were completely comfortable and it felt fun. That surprised us and was much needed. The time flew by.
