A note from Dave: This post is from my New Jersey years. Some or all of its photos were lost in an old website migration, so I have retired this gallery. The post stays here as part of my story. If this was your day and you would like your photos, please reach out and I will do my best to find them in my archive.
Before we go any further, I want to make a few things clear.
1- I’m sharing these images because they are part of my story and they excite me as a photographer, and for no other reason.
2- The couple in these images are not only frequent workshop models, but they are also very well known photographers themselves, so they don’t feel their skin burn when they step in front of the camera the same way you and I do.
3- This already awesome couple has also been posed by Jeff Newsom. Jeff is a world renowned photographer and truly one of the most humble people I’ve ever met. He’s the one in charge here. I may be adjusting some settings here, but for the images featuring Dylan + Sarah, I’m more on the ‘just clicking a button’ side of things than I am in complete control of the day.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, here’s some highlights from my time in Portland 🙂
