Childress Vineyards Wedding – Brandon and Caroline are Married!
I can’t believe I haven’t shot a Childress Vineyards Wedding before. This place is gorgeous and I had so much fun with Caroline and Brandon that I’m probably going to make them get married at least once a year from here on forward. I’m so excited to share these with you! Scroll down and enjoy all the pictures! Unless you support fake Christmas trees or the Falcons.

What was your favorite moment on your wedding day?
Can we say the whole day was our favorite moment? We had been struck with a series of horrible luck over the past few months and went into our wedding praying for the best but expecting the worst. We keep trying to find something that wasn’t absolutely perfect and we just can’t! I loved my first look with my dad, I have never seen him cry and we both just lost it. I’ve always been close to my dad and that was a moment I’ll treasure forever.
Reading our own vows was another highlight of the day. I had no idea what Brandon’s were going to say but somehow we both managed to coordinate with each other perfectly. Everyone was a witness to Brandon Byrd saying we would have a real Christmas tree year after year.
Our friends and family really know how to have a good time and the dance floor was where the heart of our reception lived. It was so much fun seeing our family and friends who never met interact and share in the laughs.
And also our horse and carriage ride home was the icing on the cake. The horse named Larry pulled us all the way to the Holiday Inn It was great to have that time together to breathe and enjoy being married!
What was the most helpful piece of advice you received when it came to planning your wedding?
Our biggest piece of advice we were given while planning was to make sure we were doing what we wanted to do! We were thrown a million different thoughts and opinions during the planning process and we stuck to our guns, said thanks for the advice and picked whatever it was the two of us wanted. At our wedding, we couldn’t get over how perfect everything turned out from our “Up” themed guestbook of thumbprints, 4 different flavors of cake, and our sweetheart table for just the two of us. We can’t wait to relive it all with our photos, it went by in a flash!
What was the biggest reason you chose Dave Shay Photography on your wedding day?
We love how easy Dave was to work with. It was like handing out with an old friend who’s also an extremely talented photographer. Our sessions were quick and painless, no ones faces hurt too badly from smiling. Our bridal party agreed it was so nice to be able to join our friends and family for the cocktail hour!
How would you describe your Wedding day? Use as many or as few words as you’d like
Our wedding day was magical, comical and just totally us.
